Building Permits & Fees
The Building Department administers and enforces building codes and ordinances established by both city and state agencies. Building codes provide minimum standards for the protection of life, limb, health, environment, public safety, and welfare. Additionally, they require energy conservation practices in the design and construction of buildings and structures. Whether at home, work, school, or out in the community, people rely on the safety of structures that are used every day.
The Building, Planning, and Development Department handles a variety of permits and applications. On this page you will find the current permits, fees and requirements to apply for them. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please email the BPD at bpd@ci.auburn.in.us.
