AUBURN, Ind. -- Auburn Main Street has changed its First Fridays to Second Saturdays for 2025.
The new time and date for Main Street's once a month celebration of Historic Downtown Auburn will begin Saturday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Winter Fest: Ice Sculptures.
The new date and time will coincide with the popular Auburn Farmers' Market which operates from May through October.
Downtown Auburn will transform into an arctic wonderland on Saturday as the James Cultural Plaza hosts the much-anticipated Second Saturday Winter Fest. This family-friendly event promises a day filled with stunning ice sculptures and live demonstrations.
Renowned ice sculptor Shannon Gerasimchik, previously showcased on The Food Network will show off his talents. Live demonstration will begin at 11 a.m. at the James Cultural Plaza. Gerasimchik will create 21 unique ice sculptures, highlighting downtown Auburn businesses.
The Main Street Porch Band will be performing live at The Atrium Marketplace, where members of Youth for Christ will be selling hot chocolate.
The Eckhart Public Library will have a new story available for its Stories Afoot -- book walk. This month's story "Snowball" by Sue Hendra.
Local downtown restaurants will have food specials throughout the day.
