Governor Mike Braun has officially proclaimed this week as Emergency Management Agencies (EMA) Appreciation Week in Indiana! EMAs across the state play a vital role in keeping our communities safe. Working alongside police, fire departments, and other public safety partners, they help prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies of all kinds. Their dedication often happens behind the scenes—but their impact is front and center when it matters most. 👏 A huge THANK YOU to our own DeKalb County Emergency Management team—Director Jason Meeks and Former Fire Chief Mike VanZile—for your leadership, dedication, and service. We appreciate all you do for our community! And a special shoutout to our neighbor, Director Gabe Creech and the Noble County EMA team—we see you, and we appreciate everything you do!
