AUBURN, Ind. — A widely popular downtown Auburn event is back for another year with the Downtown Auburn Farmers Market opening for the season on Saturday, May 3.
The Farmers Market operates each Saturday through October at the City/County parking lot, located between Seventh and Eighth streets across from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. The market will return downtown on Wednesdays beginning Wednesday, May 7 on Ninth Street between Main and Cedar streets.
This year the market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Mike Littlejohn, president of the Downtown Auburn Business Association said there are 40 vendors registered — a record for the market — to sell a wide variety of goods.
The market offers locally grown produce, flowers, herbs, spices, baked goods and other handmade products.
The market is open to all vendors that meet the criteria specified by the market officials. Vendor applications and market rules are available at https://www.daba4auburn.org/farmers-market.html. Once you print and fill out the application it may be returned to Carbaugh Jewelers, 108 E. Seventh Street.
Anyone with questions relating to the market can contact Littlejohn at 260-925-3113.
