The City of Auburn Fire Department is now accepting applications for the position of Lateral Transfer Firefighter/EMT.

Applicant Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in 1977 Police Officers and Firefighters Pension Fund
  • State of Indiana EMT-B certificate holder (minimum)
  • Indiana driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State of Indiana Firefighter II certification or equivalent
  • Hazardous materials operations certification
  • Successful completion of the AFD Job Performance Evaluation (JPE)

Starting Salary

  • Probationary First Class Firefighter: $1,888.51 bi-weekly
  • First Class Firefighter: $1,997.75 bi-weekly
