1. How do I get a bin for refuse and/or recycling?

To request bins, please call 260-747-4117 or visit the Republic Services website. You must use your supplied bin. Each residential customer is allowed one garbage container and one recycling container.

2. What if I have a bulk item or extra bags for garbage pickup?

If you have a bulk item, like a sofa, please purchase a $15 bulk item sticker in the City Utilities office, which is open Monday – Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. We will contact Republic Services on your behalf to schedule a pickup day. Extra bag stickers can be purchased for $1.50 each and can be placed at the curb on your regular pickup day.

Note: All bag tags and bulk item stickers must be purchased in our office prior to picking up the item at the curb.

3. What types of items can I recycle?

The following items can be recycled:

• Aluminum/tin cans and foil (no food debris or aerosol cans)
• Glass, excluding light bulbs, mirrors, ceramics and drinking glasses
• Newspapers
• Plastics: soda bottles, water jugs, milk containers (no food debris)
