After wrapping up yet another successful Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, which brought thousands of visitors to the City of Auburn, the “Home of the Classics” welcomes Edsel owners and enthusiasts from around the country.
The city long known for its car culture looks forward to hosting the 54th Annual Edsel Owners Club Convention Sept. 5-10.
“This is just another example of the city’s continued dedication to supporting car culture,” said Auburn Mayor Mike Ley. “We hope you enjoy our world class automobile museums while visiting our community.”
Edsel lovers will also have the opportunity to visit one of Auburn’s historic locations, the fully restored former home of D&M Motor Sales and H.C. Sinclair gas station located on the north side of town. D&M Motor Sales was an Edsel dealer during the manufactures three-year run.
The restored dealership will play host to a Friday evening dinner and celebration, which will feature special guest Randy Morton who’s father Russ owned and managed the Auburn Edsel dealership.
On behalf of the City of Auburn, we hope you enjoy your time in our growing community, and hope you return to explore the community we call home.
Sincerely,
Mike Ley, Mayor
