Help Develop Auburn: Take Part in Survey or Forum
The city of Auburn is participating in the Indiana Hometown Collaboration Initiative (HCI) and needs public input on our community’s economy, quality of life and leadership.
HCI is a community development program that aims to make communities like ours more vibrant places to live, work and play.
There are two ways you can provide input:
- Survey: Complete the online survey between March 17 – April 14.
Printed surveys are also available at the Community Foundation of DeKalb County (700 S. Main Street), Jeremiah’s (203 N. Main Street) and the Heimach Center (1800 E. 7th Street).
- Community Forum: April 28, 5:30-9 p.m. at McKenney Harrison Elementary School (320 Van Auken Street)
Participants are asked to pre-register by completing this online form or calling 260.925.0311.
The survey and community forum are both assessment tools to help HCI understand Auburn’s specific needs and assets. After the assessment phase is complete, HCI will work with Auburn leadership to build long-term strategies targeted to grow the city in key areas that are identified during the assessment.
HCI is available to Indiana communities—with a total population of 25,000 or less—that are committed to building on their existing assets.
