Repairs to Improve Condition of Auburn Streets

The Auburn Street Department today announced a couple street projects that will be occurring over the next few weeks. The work and repairs will improve the condition of several streets throughout the city.

Crack-Sealing
Beginning July 15, Pavement Solutions will be crack-sealing various streets in the city. The work will take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete. “No Parking” signs will be posted on streets the day before the work is scheduled to begin.

Concrete Curb Repairs
Beginning July 16, the Auburn Street Department will remove and repair areas of concrete curb on 15th Street between Jackson St. and Van Buren St. The work is being done in preparation for street reconstruction of the block. The street will be closed during the day and open at night. Motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible.

Milling
API Construction will be milling the following streets on July 17-18:

  • N. Indiana Ave. (SR8 to CR 36A)
  • North St. (Indiana Ave. to Main St.)
  • N. Van Buren St. (1st to North St.)
  • Main St. (at the S curve)

Paving
API Construction will begin paving the above streets the week of July 21. Motorists are encouraged to avoid these areas and take alternate routes.  Work in these areas will take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting. “No Parking” signs will be posted the day before the work is scheduled to begin.
