Police Department Offering Self Defense Course for Women
The Auburn Police Department will be offering a self defense course for women in November and December.
The course teaches the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) System, which includes awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. Women will learn realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. Certified RAD instructors will teach the course. They include Officer Jeffrey Plank, Officer Joseph McGrade and Reserve Officer Sarah Reinhold.
Dates: November 18 and 25 and December 2 and 9
Time: 6-9 p.m.
Requirements:
- Must be a female age 13 or older
- One-time registration fee of $5 (Classes free to previous students)
- Must attend all four classes to complete course and receive certification
