Parks & Rec Offering LEGO Camps This Summer

Posted by aprile on April 25, 2013

The Auburn Park & Recreation Department is hosting two LEGO camps in June for budding engineers!

The camps--Junior Vehicle Engineering and Junior Engineering 1--are being offered, thanks to a grant from DeKalb's Voice. While there is still a participation fee, the grant helps offset much of the cost of hosting the national camps.

Both camps will be held June 24-28 at the Eckhart Park Enclosed Pavilion at 1500 S. Cedar Street in Auburn. The cost for each camp is $50, and the registration deadline is June 14.

Every camp participant will take home a lego kit/project.

  • Time: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Description: Exploration of simple machines at an entry level. Hands-on learning and building experiences. Creatively building and modifying machines through basic engineering skills using unique LEGO k its and curriculum.
