"As the saying goes, 'One man's junk is another man's treasure,'" says Brenda Daley, Auburn Parks & Recreation. "This event allows individuals, families, businesses, and school or community organizations to participate in a community-wide garage sale."
Additionally, individuals and groups can sell raffle tickets or discount cards, tickets to upcoming events, crafts or baked goods. Daley says the options are endless. The only exception: No firearms or weapons may be sold at the event.
To participate as a vendor, you must submit an application by August 2, along with the $15 vendor fee.
Vendors will be provided two 10’ X 36’ parking spaces, one for selling and the other for parking your vehicle. (Or you can set up items in both spots and park your vehicle on the other side of parking lot.)
“Junk in the Trunk is a is a great way to bring the community together and build awareness as to what many organizations and clubs offer to the community,” Daley says. “Plus, it helps families and organizations to raise some extra funds—or find their own special treasure.”
