DeKalb County Central Communications Changes Utility Contact Procedures

Posted by thowens on May 19, 2018

DeKalb County Central Communications (DCCC) is changing its procedure on contacting utility and municipal services, either during or after business hours.

As the public safety answering point for all of DeKalb County, DCCC will continue to make contact with utilities or non-public safety agencies for emergency situations, or whenever requested by an emergency responder. However, the organization will no longer operate as a dispatch function for non-emergency agencies.

Effective June 4, 2018, DCCC will no longer maintain after hours call-out lists for non-public safety entities. The call center will utilize a single point of contact number provided by the utility services or other agencies. Additionally, DCCC will no longer maintain “cut off” or “disconnect” lists. Any calls regarding lack of service will be forwarded to the appropriate agency.

If you have any customer complaints or other customer-related issues, please call the utility directly.
