APD Golf Outing Supports Community Programs

Posted by thowens on July 17, 2014

The Auburn Police Department (APD) announced today that it raised enough money with its annual golf outing to fund its community outreach programs through 2015.

“Once again, we had great support from the community. There were 32 teams participating and numerous company and individual sponsors who helped make it another memorable event,” says Chief Martin McCoy. “Best of all, the money raised will be used to fund several programs that have become very important to the Auburn community.”

The following programs are solely funded by the APD’s annual golf outing:

  • Shop with a Cop
  • Thanksgiving for the Needy
  • Christmas Tour for the Elderly
  • K9 Drug Program (Food & Vet Bills)
  • Rape Aggression Defense Classes
  • Pathfinder Program for At-Risk Youth
  • Scholarship Fund (Future Officers)
  • Kid Print
  • Crime Scene Techs (Equipment)
  • Community Policing Events
  • Healthy Halloween
