AES Joins Auburn Main Street in We Love Auburn Activities

Posted by thowens on January 31, 2019

Auburn Essential Services (AES) is joining Auburn Main Street (AMS) in helping the community form connections and make memories during “We Love Auburn” month. This year, AES is sponsoring a synthetic ice rink that will be available Feb. 9-10 from 12-4 p.m. The rink will be located on Cedar Street in front of City Hall.

“It is natural for Auburn Essential Services to be involved in this event,” says Chris Schweitzer, AES General Manager. “At AES, we’re focused on helping people make connections. And, now, together with Auburn Main Street, we’re helping the community create timeless connections as we come together and celebrate what we love about Auburn.”

Ribbon-Cutting

AES invites its subscribers and other members of the public to join them for a ribbon-cutting of the ice rink on Feb. 9 at 11:30 a.m. The rink will be open from 11:30 a.m. -12 p.m. for AES subscribers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visit AES During Upstairs Downtown Tour

AES is also participating in the Upstairs Downtown Tour, sponsored by AMS that weekend. Between 12-4 p.m., the public is invited to visit AES offices, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, speak with AES staff or watch a demo.

Free Tour Tickets to First 25

AES is also offering free Upstairs Downtown Tour tickets to the first 25 AES customers who ask for them by phone, chat, email or office visit. Visit auburnessentialservices.net to find out all the ways to get in touch with us. Limit 2 tickets per customer.

“We Love Auburn” Activities

All the activities planned by AMS for “We Love Auburn” month are family-friendly and geared toward all ages.

“Our goal is to bring the community downtown during a time of year when the community tends to suffer from ‘cabin fever’,” says Sarah Payne, AMS President. Established in 2009, Auburn Main Street encourages revitalization and sustainable growth.
