Parks & Rec Hosting 26th Annual Christmas Walk

Posted by thowens on November 29, 2016

The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department invites you to the 26th Annual Christmas Walk. The event will be held  December 2-4 and December 9-11 from 6-8 p.m. each evening. The Christmas Walk takes place in Eckhart Park (1500 S. Cedar Street) and is truly a “Winter Wonderland” for all to enjoy!

Auburn Chief of Police Martin D. McCoy is asking that citizens of the community take extra time, effort and precautions as it relates to their vehicles. Remove valuables from your vehicle, park close to your home or in a well-lit area, set your alarm system if available. Most importantly, he says, lock your vehicle. There have been several recent incidents of items stolen from cars, but only unlocked vehicles were targets. It is believed that a locked vehicle would deter many of these crimes.

The Auburn Police Department will be issuing 2016 DeKalb County Free Fall Fair Resident Parking Permits during the week of September 19-23, 2016. Permits may be obtained at the Auburn Police Department, 210 South Cedar Street, from Monday through Friday, 10am – 4pm.
