The Auburn Police Department is hosting its 15th annual golf outing on Friday, July 12 to raise money for a number of community police programs. Golfers, sponsors and donors are currently being sought to support the fundraiser, which will be held at Bridgewater Golf Course.
Auburn Fire Chief Michael Vanzile is encouraging residents to change the batteries in their smoke alarms at the same time they change their clocks to Daylight Saving Time this Sunday. (Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 9, at 2 a.m. when clocks should “spring forward” one hour.)
On Thursday, March 6, 2014, Special Agent in Charge Robert A. Jones of the Indianapolis Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is coming to Auburn to return a very important piece of history that was stolen over 80 years ago from the city’s police department.
