Mayor Yoder has lived in Auburn most of his life. He graduated from Auburn High School and from Purdue University's Engineering School with honors. He and his wife Peg have owned and operated several businesses, including Yoder & Yoder concrete and Joshua's Restaurant. While they have sold both these businesses, they currently own and operate the Skatin Station. He has been active in many community projects, and is most proud of serving on the building committee for the Eckhart Public Library Expansion and Renovation Project. He and his wife enjoy boating and fishing at their lake cottage.
Patty moved to Auburn from South Haven, Michigan, at the age of fifteen. After graduating from DeKalb High School in 1976, she began working for the City of Auburn. Her first City position was in Customer Service and Utility Billing. She was promoted to Utility Office Manager in 1998 where she managed the utility office staff and worked under the direct supervision of the Clerk-Treasurer. In 2002, she was again promoted, this time to Utility Operation Supervisor. After much soul searching, she decided to run for Clerk-Treasurer in 2003 and took office in January 2004. Since that time she has been a leader in improving the myriad of City financial operations through technology and policy innovation. In addition, progressive new utility billing and project accounting applications are underway. In her spare time she enjoys walking for exercise, spending time with her son, Cory, and staying involved with the Auburn Classic Lions Club and the DeKalb County Republican Women's Club. She thoroughly enjoys the challenges of serving her community in a political capacity and looks forward to all the technological advances and challenges facing our city.

A new email subscription option is provided to taxpayers to stay informed of submissions by their local units. Taxpayers will be able to view all local government units in DeKalb county, search by their address, or use an interactive map tool. This website has been designed to promote the importance of budget notices and the role that they play in the daily lives of Indiana taxpayers. Taxpayers that do not have Internet access or have difficulties with the website may contact the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance at (888) 739-9826 and request a paper copy of the notices for their local government units.
