New Handicap Accessible Swing at Rieke Park
The new handicap accessible swing was dedicated on October 11th, 2011. The Auburn Lions Club spearheaded the accessibility project after Kendra Hummer wrote a letter to the editor asking the Auburn Parks Department to remember wheelchair-bound children also need to play when building the city’s next park. The new playground equipment was purchased by community organizations and individual donations.
