APD Offering Self Defense Class for Women

The Auburn Police Department will be offering a self-defense course for women next month. The four-session, which begins August 9, teaches the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) System of awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. Registration is required.


Auburn Named to Safest City List

For the second year in a row, Auburn was identified as one of Indiana’s Safest Cities by Safewise. Ranking #24 on the list, Auburn has reduced property crime by 40 percent, moving up seven places from its position on last year’s list. Safewise recognized Auburn for its appeal to residents and businesses alike.


Parks & Rec hosting Neighborhood Park Meet & Greets

The Auburn Parks & Recreation Department is introducing its new administrator, Eric Ditmars, via a series of meet-and-greets at local neighborhood parks. The public is invited to attend these sessions and share ideas for improving the city's parks in the future. The Parks department plans to use this feedback as it builds its next Five-Year Master Plan.
