Auburn Parks & Rec Announces the 20th Annual Halloween Walk

The 2015 Halloween Walk starts on October 23 and runs thru Halloween night, October 31. Hours for the walk are 7-9 p.m. each night. The walk is held in Eckhart Park, 1500 S. Cedar Street in Auburn.

This is a family-friendly event that provides fun and entertainment for all ages. Admission to the Halloween Walk is $2 per person, with children age 3 and under free.

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum has the privilege of displaying an automobile owned by the famous American gangster John Dillinger.  This automobile will be on display until April 2016. 


APD Expanding Police Reserve Program

The Auburn Police Department (APD) is expanding its Police Reserve Program. Individuals interested in becoming an APD reserve officer must apply by October 1, 2015.


On Saturday, August 22, Bob Evans restaurant is partnering with the Auburn Police Department (APD) to host the “Dine to Make a Difference” community fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit three APD community outreach programs:

  • Shop with a Cop
  • Lights for the Elderly
  • Thanksgiving for the Needy

Parks & Rec Hosting the Party of the Century

Auburn Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the "Party of the Century" and you're invited! Auburn's beloved Eckhart Park is turning 100 years old, and Parks and Rec is hosting a birthday blow-out for the entire community to celebrate the milestone. Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., for a fun-filled day of food, games/prizes, historical displays, nature tours and more.
