Junk in the Trunk

Auburn Parks & Recreation is hosting Junk in the Trunk on Saturday, August 3 at Rieke Park, main parking lot, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Find everything you are looking for at the Auburn Junk in the Trunk community rummage sale. Recycle, reuse, barter or trade from this convenient, one-location, multi-person sale! This is great for organizational fundraising, church groups, youth groups, families or individuals looking to raise some funds. Additionally, individuals and groups can sell raffle tickets or discount cards, tickets to upcoming events, crafts or baked goods—the options are endless. The only exception: No firearms or weapons may be sold at the event.


Registration for Fall Softball Leagues Now Open

The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registration for its Adult Fall Softball League program. The leagues, which are open to any group of adults looking to play softball, include the following:

  • Tuesday Night – Men’s Open League (Double Headers)  
  • Wednesday Night – Co-Ed League (Double Headers)

Let the summer fun begin! The Auburn Parks & Recreation Department announced the programs for its popular Fun in the Park series, held on Wednesdays throughout the summer at Eckhart Park. All programs start at 10 a.m. (except for the LEGO camps).


Pool Set to Open for Holiday Weekend

The Auburn Community Pool will open this Thursday, May 23, 2013--just in time for the Memorial Day weekend!


The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the Indiana Boaters' Education Class on May 11. The class--led by Patrick Heidenreich of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources--will provide participants with instruction in boats, maintenance, emergency procedures and watercraft operation laws so boaters can learn how to make their experience safe and enjoyable.
