AUBURN POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE


On 12/31/2013 at approximately 2:20am the Auburn Police Department responded to DeKalb Health, 1316 East Seventh Street, in response to a reported theft from a vehicle.


The Auburn Police Department (APD) plans to improve its training facilities and has requested the public’s help in raising funds for the project.

The APD wants to build a new multi-use training facility and renovate its existing outdoor firearms training area.


Police Department Offering Self Defense Course for Women

The Auburn Police Department will be offering a self defense course for women in November and December.

The course teaches the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) System, which includes awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. Women will learn realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. Certified RAD instructors will teach the course. They include Officer Jeffrey Plank, Officer Joseph McGrade and Reserve Officer Sarah Reinhold.

September Board of Zoning Meeting Cancelled

The scheduled City of Auburn Board of Zoning Appeals meeting for Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at 6 p.m. has been canceled due to lack of business. The next scheduled Board of Zoning Appeals meeting is Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at 6 p.m. It will be held at Auburn City Hall, Council Chambers, 210 E. Ninth Street.
