Auburn Essential Services (AES) is joining Auburn Main Street (AMS) in helping the community form connections and make memories during “We Love Auburn” month. This year, AES is sponsoring a synthetic ice rink that will be available Feb. 9-10 from 12-4 p.m. The rink will be located on Cedar Street in front of City Hall.
As part of Indiana’s Downtown Development Week, the City of Auburn and Auburn Main Street hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday to celebrate the culmination of the Sixth and Main Street Revitalization Project. Indiana Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch attended the ribbon-cutting, along with City of Auburn Mayor Norm Yoder.
Due to a recent ruling by the Indiana Supreme Court, law enforcement officials, including the Auburn Police Department, can no longer cite trains for blocking railroad crossings.
The Auburn Police Department will be issuing 2018 DeKalb County Free Fall Fair Resident Parking Permits on the following dates between 10am – Noon and 1-5pm:
The Auburn Police Department will be offering a self-defense course for women later this year. The four-session course, which begins Nov. 28, teaches the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) System of awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. Registration is required.
