Training is one of the most important things we do in the fire service. The Auburn Fire Department is fortunate to have the facilities and staff that we have in our training division. Our Training Facility is very well equipped, and thanks to the generosity of many local citizens and companies, most of our training equipment was secured with very little investment from the cities budget. We our also fortunate to have a large number of state certified instructors on staff with the Auburn Fire Department. Most weeks, a minimum of three days has time set aside where, in addition to responding to emergencies and performing daily duties, we train as a group. Training sessions usually consist of a mixture of our full-time paid firefighters and our volunteer firefighters.
