Ahoy matee!

Unless you’re a lubber (that’s pirate talk for land lover), you’ll be at Eckhart Park this Halloween season for the return of the Pirates of Eckhart Park & the Pirate Cemetery.

Beginning this Friday, October 21 through Monday, October 31, the Auburn Parks & Recreation Department—a hardworking crew of shipmates—will be hosting this annual Auburn Halloween tradition.

Children’s activities are offered on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Halloween night. Those include:

  • Sink the Ship
  • Walk the Plank
  • Treasure Hunt in the Pavilion Maze

And in case you missed the Parks & Recreations’ pirate ship at the DeKalb County Fair – which won first place in the fair’s float contest—it will be on display during the event as well.

The fee to this event is only $2 per person. Children age 3 and under are free. And if you “like” us on Facebook, you can download a 50% off admission coupon. Simply click on the “50% off Halloween Walk” link on the left side of the screen. Then, simply “like” the page and download your coupon.

Our community events are one of the many things that make Auburn a special place to be. Hope to see you there.  Arrrrrrr matte!
