At AES, we’re constantly focused on how to make things better. Whether it’s the services we offer or how we communicate with our subscribers, we want you to have the best possible experience. That’s also why we continue to invest in the AES network.
In the last year, we’ve made two important investments in our core network to accommodate current and future growth. We wanted to share what those are and what they mean for our subscribers:
- Increased bandwidth capacity
We upsized our Internet peering connections to major worldwide carriers by more than 5 times. This increase in capacity ensures our subscribers continue to enjoy:
- Full-speed, all the time, with no slowdowns at certain times of the day
- Unlimited access – no data caps
- Increased Internet package speeds
- More diversified infrastructure
While we have always had multiple connections to the major worldwide carriers, we have expanded to another geographically diverse connection point. With this carrier and geographic diversity, the AES subscriber network has very low risk of an experiencing extended Internet outage.
Restructured Residential and Business Internet Packages
These network improvements enable us to stay ahead of the need—a need that only grows as people have more devices connected to the Internet, ultimately consuming more on-demand video and streaming services. Consequently, we’ve restructured our residential and business Internet packages to reflect changing customer needs, modernize our broadband products and, essentially, provide increased bandwidth, greater reliability and better pricing.
(Current subscribers should watch their emails for information on revised packages and pricing.
