Parks and Rec hosts Valentine’s Day Dance

Before the NFL’s final contenders compete on Super Bowl Sunday, you can show off some of your own impressive moves as you hit the dance floor with the young lady or gentleman in your life.

The City of Auburn’s Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two special Valentine’s Day dances the first weekend in February to give parents the opportunity to show their young ones what it means to “Be Mine.”

  • February 3: Father – Daughter Dance
  • February 4: Mother – Son Dance

Both dances will be held at National Military History Center from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and will feature music, dancing, games, photos and refreshments for children ages 3-10 (and their grown-up escorts!). Register for the dance at the Parks and Rec Office at 1500 S. Cedar Street. You can also call 925-2997 for more information.

Cost:

  • Before January 27: $20 (couple) + $8 for each additional daughter/son
  • After January 27: $25 (couple) + $9 for each additional daughter/son

*Please note that tickets must be purchased in advance. None will be sold at the door.

The Valentine’s Dance is just one of the many special programs offered by Auburn Parks and Recreation. Throughout the year, we offer multiple opportunities and resources for our community to grow, learn and explore—and that includes dancing too!
