Life Lessons Learned on the Field

Trying your best…
Working together as a team …
Cheering each other on…
Being humble in victory…and gracious in defeat.

All of these “life lessons” are ones I learned playing sports as a youth.

Sports give children a playing field for developing character—not to mention having fun. That’s why I’m proud that our Parks and Recreation Department offers a number of opportunities for kids of all ages – plus adults – to participate in part of a recreational league.

We have little league baseball and football as well as girls softball. And for adults, there are a number of different men’s, women’s and co-ed leagues. If you’re interested in getting involved, you can find a list of leagues and contact information in the Parks and Recreations section of our website.
