By Chris Schweitzer, AES
In recent weeks, subscribers have asked us how the FCC’s decision to end net neutrality have affected AES and our services.
The simple answer is, “It doesn’t.”
The decision to repeal net-neutrality rules doesn’t change the way AES operates as an Internet Service Provider (ISP). We didn’t change anything when net neutrality went into effect, nor do we plan to make changes now that it’s ended. In fact, net neutrality never really impacted us other than through increased costs of regulatory compliance.
Our subscribers can rest assured that we’ll continue to operate just as we have since our beginning. From the time we formed in 2005, we have listened to the needs of the community and subscribers. We provide products and services to fit those needs. That’s why we are here—and it’s why we have always offered different tiers of service based on need and usage. A family residence, a small business and a large industry all have different needs. We understand that, so the level of speed and bandwidth you receive is dependent on the level of service you purchase. This business model has always been successful for us—and, more importantly, our subscribers.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help.
